Uneterred by the revelations about the alleged involvement of its cadres in acts of terror, the RSS will take out a massive Path Sanchalan on Sunday in Dewas, the town from where Sunil Joshi, the RSS activist allegedly involved in Ajmer blast, operated till he was murdered in December 2007. More than 20,000 volunteers will take part in the march,a Sangh leader claimed, adding that the original target was 31,000 volunteers. We have already managed 20,000 sets of uniforms and had to get some from Meerut, a Sangh leader told The Indian Express.
Targets have been given to activists to get volunteers from each of the 544 villages in the district.
The Sangh leaders claimed that the route march was not a show of strength. RSS leader Suresh Joshi will be present in Dewas for two days to take stock of the work the organisation has been doing over the last few years. The Dewas route march will be followed by smaller events in nearby places such as Shajapur.
Meanwhile, three persons held in connection with Joshis murder have been remanded in further judicial custody till January 17. Anand Raj Kataria, who was picked up from Indore, has been admitted to M Y Hospital in Indore. The police said he was likely to undergo a surgery. The car used in carrying explosives to Ajmer belonged to Kataria.
