With the Comptroller & Auditor General (CAG) and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) reacting strongly to Telecom Minister Kapil Sibals attack on the audit body on the loss figure in the 2G spectrum allocation, the Congress on Thursday refused to join the issue.
A procedure is on-going. CAGs view-point has been presented. Governments view is also in public domain and PAC has a view on it. With all three views now in public domain, let appropriate bodies decide, Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi told reporters.
Asked on the partys stance on Sibals criticism of the CAG report,Singhvi said,That chapter is over now. It is unnecessary to make any more comments on it. Views of all the parties are in public space and a decision would be taken. The party had earlier defended Sibal.
