SP revokes Azam Khan expulsion

The Samajwadi Party revoked the expulsion of senior leader Azam Khan from the party.

The Samajwadi Party on Wednesday revoked the expulsion of senior leader Azam Khan from the party. Azam Khan was expelled soon after the last Lok Sabha elections in May 2009,for opposing the ties of the party with former BJP leader Kalyan Singh.

SP national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav,in a letter to Azam Khan, wrote,“I am happy to inform you that party’s national president Mulayam Singh Yadav has revoked your expulsion from the party. You are requested to continue to serve like before”.

Azam Khan said,“I have no official communication from the party about the revocation. The SP had expelled me without informing me and today they have withdrawn the expulsion in a similar manner.”
