Tabu will most likely be doing Kabeer Kaushiks cop action drama Maximum that takes off on May 15 in Mumbai. The actress,who is extremely choosy about her films,has liked the script. Though she has still to sign on the dotted line,Tabu has given the nod to the film wherein she will essay the role of a cops (Sonu Sood) wife. The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah,Pankaj Kapur and Arya Babbar.

Kaushik has earlier directed Sehar,Chamku and Hum Tum Aur Ghost.

Ali Zafar in remake of Chashme Buddoor

According to a reliable source,it is confirmed that Ali Zafar has bagged the main lead in David Dhawans remake of Chashme Buddoor. The film will be a contemporary take on Sai Paranjpyes famous film of the same name,which is about three friends and their obsession for a girl. The actor-singer from Pakistan will essay the role that was played by Farooque Shaikh in the original. Zafar,who made a mark in his debut film Tere Bin Laden,has done a cameo in the recently-released Luv Ka The End,and is one of the three principal characters in YRFs Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. South star Taapsee has been signed on to play the female lead. Interestingly,it was reported that Ranbir Kapoor had been approached to do the film. Chashme Buddoor takes off in August.
