Taiwan stocks end down 1 pct

Taiwan stocks fell 1.02 per cent on Wednesday,with PC maker Acer Inc tumbling after it reported a fall in July sales and leading other electronics companies lower on concern over demand.

The main TAIEX share index fell 81.71 points to 7,895.03.

Acer fell over 5 per cent in early trade before closing 4.1 per cent lower after reporting a 38 per cent year on year fall in sales in July.
