A textile manufacturing group has surrendered Rs 8 crore for taxation in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan.
The income tax department carried out raids at the offices of the group and its associate firms and seized Rs 21 lakh in cash and jewellery valued at Rs 41 lakh.
The raids which started on September 27 concluded yesterday.
“Rs 8 crore were surrendered collectively for taxation,” income tax officer Avdhesh Kumar said today.
“During the search and seizure action at 21 premises of a textile manufacturing group and its associates,21 lakh in cash and jewellery valued at Rs 41 lakh were seized,” Kumar said.
