Hewlett Packard announced a touchscreen laptop designed for enterprise use – EliteBook Revolve 810. It has Intel’s third-generation Core series processor and guarantees up to 10 hours of battery life. The screen can be rotated 360 degrees. It can be used as a tablet and a laptop. It weighs 1.36 kg and costs Rs 90,000. HP also launched the ProBook 430,that weighs 1.5 kg and priced at Rs 39,000. This machine is made of aluminium and has a spill-resistant keyboard.

Ayana Navigation Solutions,a Delhi-based navigation company,has tied up with Hungary-based NNG to launch portable navigation devices in India. The first product from the company’s stable is A501,a 5-inch GPS device that features NNG’s iGO primo software for navigation. The company also offers an app called ANS Navigator on iOS and Android for Rs 1,650. The A501 GPS device comes with a year of free map updates and features such as live traffic updates,enhanced junction view (high-resolution images of junctions to help you take the right turn),point addressing (to make searching for addresses easy),etc. The device will hit the shelves in October.

Sony MDR-XB920

In a bid to woo the style-conscious crowd,Sony has launched the MDR-XB920 Xtra Bass headphone. The company says the product’s highlight is a “50 mm driver unit with deep,powerful bass”. Sony says the MDR-XB920’s neodymium magnets help it produce powerful bass. This pair of headphones comes with in-line microphone and remote control. This lets you play,pause and control volume without touching your smartphone or music player. This pair of headphones is slightly heavy at 305 grams. Although it should not be very uncomfortable,competing products at this price point – Rs 12,990 – are lighter.

Epson M200

Cost effective

Epson recently launched M200,a printer that allows users to print at a cost of just 12 paise per page. Epson says the printer has an all-in-one mono ink tank system,which is better than monochrome laser printers. The M200’s print speed is 15 pages per minute,comparable to entry-level laser printers. It offers a high-speed draft printing mode that lets users print 34 pages per minute. The company claims that the printer can print up to 8,000 pages with the initial cartridge and 6,000 pages with each refill. Epson rates its lifespan at 50,000 pages. Epson pigment ink ensures that printouts are fade and water resistant.
