UP reshuffle: Pandey back at CM’s office

The Uttar Pradesh government,late on Saturday night,attached senior IAS officer Vijay Shankar Pandey with the Chief Minister’s residential office,besides posting him as Principal Secretary,Food and Drug Control Department. He would also hold additional charge of the Secretariat Administration department.

Pandey,who was Additional Cabinet Secretary,was dropped from the Chief Minister’s Office on March 18. He is currently posted as member (Judicial) Revenue Board,Allahabad. Before his exit from the Chief Minister’s Office,Pandey was considered to be close to Mayawati. He has surprised one and all by his sudden return to the Chief Minister’s residential office. Pandey’s exit from the CMO also led to the transfer of his relatives from different places.

Meanwhile,the government has also cancelled the transfer order of Nita Choudhary and asked her to continue as Member (Judicial) Revenue Board,Lucknow. She was asked to join as member (Judicial),Revenue Board,Allahabad ,on Friday. As per the government’s order,she would continue to hold her post in Lucknow.
