Wacom announces the opening of Wacom India Private Limited, based in New Delhi.

Wacom’s new subsidiary, which will officially begin operations on November 1 of this year, demonstrates the company’s commitment to the region and the global support for its human interface technologies.

While Wacom has marketed its pen tablets and interactive pen displays in India for over ten years, the incredible growth within certain technology sectors where Wacom thrives warranted the creation of a local marketing and sales arm.

“We are impressed with the growth and creativity coming out of India. From the film and design community to the general PC consumer,Wacom looks forward to having a regional presence to make it easier for people to obtain our cutting-edge user interface products, said Masahiko Yamada,President and CEO of Wacom Company,Ltd. “Consumer and professional end-users will benefit from the opportunity to experience natural and intuitive computer input with our pen and touch devices, while building distribution and reseller partnerships will help expand our network.
