Wipro Technologies,the IT services division of Wipro Ltd,said it has opened a new delivery centre in Brazil to serve global and domestic clients.
The Curitiba centre would serve as the regional headquarter for other Wipro offices located in the region–São Paulo (Brazil) and Buenos Aires (Argentina),a company statement said.
The Bangalore-headquartered IT firm has been operating in Brazil for four years now and the expansion in Curitiba is in line with the company’s plans to diversify globally.
Curitiba would extend Wipro’s expansive IT and BPO portfolio and would serve nearly 20 clients,it said.
The centre which started with 60 employees now employs around 350 people.
