LONDON: Mel Gibson is facing a major backlash after tapes in which he uses a racial slur against African Americans were made public. The actor,who is in a court battle with former girlfriend and Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva over allegations of domestic violence,used the racist word during a argument with her. Gibson launched a tirade against the mother of his eight-month-old child,claimed Radar online which has obtained the audio tapes. In a jaw-dropping outburst,Gibson,54,is allegedly heard telling Grigorieva that the way she is dressed will get her “raped” by a “pack” of Black men.

PARIS: Woody Allen warned the Paris moviegoing public that consequences would be dire if they didn’t like his upcoming film. The director addressed a packed audience at the opening Thursday of the Paris Film Festival. Ahead of the screening of his latest effort — You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger,starring Naomi Watts,Josh Brolin and Antonio Banderas — Allen jokingly called the ensemble romance a “chef d’oeuvre”. “If you hate this film,I’m going to start a new film,” said Allen,whose Midnight in Paris includes an appearance by French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. “If you hate both (movies),I’m going to kill myself,” he said.
