This is extremely sad 8216;These kids told: you are Dalit, go eat elsewhere8217;, IE, December 16. Children are the foundation of our society. They are our future.
It is heart-wrenching to see them mistreated in a country which has zoomed into the 21st century with information technology, out-sourcing, etc.

8226; In which direction is Indian society headed? Isn8217;t it shameful to segregate children on the basis of caste? Reports from Gujarat over the past two years, in any case, lead to doubts whether social justice can be sought in the state.

No shades of grey

8226;By putting both Ajit Jogi and Dilip Singh Judeo in the dock for bringing disgrace to democracy, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has not only risen above partisan politics but also risen much above the muddy politics 8216;Both Jogi, Judeo cases a disgrace: Vajpayee8217;, IE, December 17. Not condoning the Judeo episode in spite of the BJP8217;s resounding electoral success in Chhattisgarh is sure to send the right message across.

8226; Congratulations to Rohit Brijnath for the splendidly written piece on India8217;s victory at Adelaide 8216;DRAVID8217;, IE, December 17. It is gratifying to find a reporter actually going beyond scorecards and attempting to convey emotions.

8226; I almost cried while reading through the article. It means so much to see India perform well in a foreign country. The team has made all of us Indians proud.

8226; Rohit Brijnath8217;s reports from Australia are written in the kind
of lyrical and luminous prose that could only emanate from one whose gifts are equal parts undiluted cricketing ardour and eloquent composition.

8226; That8217;s right, it is not just any Indian team, this is Saurav Ganguly8217;s Indian team

8226; Rohit Brijnath8217;s laboured metaphors are difficult to digest. They8217;re synthetic at best.

8226; The performance so far of the Indian cricket team in Australia is highly commendable. In fact, in the first innings of the second Test match at the Adelaide Oval Australia once again showed why they are a world class team by scoring more than 500 runs at such a brisk pace.

India8217;s response was disappointing till Rahul Dravid and V.V.S. Laxman occupied the crease and rescued India from a likely follow-on. The performance of the bowlers 8212; Ajit Agarkar in particular 8212; in the Australians8217; second innings was breath-taking.
