The Lok Sabha channel’s drive to catch eyeballs in the crowded TV market has caught the attention for the wrong reasons. A recurrent promotional line on the channel describes itself in this way: “We are the creamy layer of Indian television. Watch us without any reservation.” With reservation evoking strong emotions—the battleground has ranged from Parliament to the street—some agitated members of Parliament have decided to take up the issue with Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.
