CHANDIGARH, Dec 15: The local unit of the Samajwadi Party has criticised the introduction of Womens’ Reservation Bill tabled in the Parliament. In a press release issued here today, the local unit president Shivi Jaiswal has said that the Bill, in its present form, has many loopholes and would give rise to inequality in the society. He added that the BJP had tabled the Bill without giving due reservations to OBCs, SC, ST and minorities, including muslims, alleging that the government was not serious about the backward class and minorities in the country. He added that this was the first time a bill was introduced without its draft having been discussed.
