The cellular operators are ringing in some good news in the new year. The cellphone comapnies are getting together to announce a series of sops for their subscribers on Thursday. These could include a slash in long-distance rates, making STD and ISD calls from cellphones a lot cheaper. Also on the cards is lowering of roaming charges and the ‘add-on’ tariffs on cellphones.
