Playing his first game for Yorkshire shortly after his arrival from India, Yuvraj Singh was dismissed for 11, lasting only 13 minutes and 14 deliveries, on the first day of the three-day Division Two Frizzell county championship match against Glamorgan at Headingley.

Yorkshire reached 190 for 9 in 63 overs when the day’s play was abandoned due to rain. Yuvraj was caught by Powell off the bowling of Kasprowicz, who claimed four wickets conceding 47 runs.

Virender Sehwag, too, failed for Leicestershire against Middlesex in Division One, scoring just 10 runs. Leicestershire were struggling at 19 for 3 when rain stopped teh day’s play in reply to Middlesex’s first innings score of 201.
