In this series of records, this is one that may just go unnoticed. When Zaheer Khan trapped Manjural Islam Rana, he became only the fourth Indian paceman to have claimed 100 Test wickets. But Zaheer feels that he should have reached that record ‘‘last year itself.’’

‘‘While touring Australia last year, I was hoping to reach that record, but could not achieve it. Since then I have been in and out because of my injuries. In a way its been a long time coming,’’ he said.

Zaheer Khan got his 100th wicket in his 37th Test.
