Bihar being in the grip of a Dusshera festival mood, leaders of rival political groups including RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav today used examples of slaying of Ravana to attack each other.

Yadav set the tone by describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “political Ravana” whose politics would meet an end in Bihar.

“Like slaying of Ravana on Vijaydashmi day, people of Bihar would slay the political Ravana,” Prasad told reporters. He said he meant to say that communal politics would meet its death in Bihar elections.

NDA leaders reacted strongly to RJD chief’s comment. Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh told
reporters that people were ready to seal the fate of those who promoted “jungle raj” in the state.

Union Minister of State Ramkripal Yadav also came down heavily on his former boss and said “people would set on fire the Ravana enjoying patronage of Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad.”

Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi also came out harsh on his former mentor Nitish Kumar.

“He calls me Vibhisan of JD(U) which means he is Ravana full of false pride and ambition. I know where lies the amrit (nector) and now Prime Minister Narendra Modi only needs to fire an arrow to end the Ravana,” Manjhi told reporters reacting to RJD chief’s comment.
