The BSP supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Monday said even if her party failed to capture power on her own,it would play a key role in the formation of next government at the Centre.
“No party can form government without the BSP,” she told election rallies in Dadri Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad in suppport of party nominees. “Delhi is now not far for her but even if her party fails to bag sufficient number of seats,it will play a crucial role in the formation of next government,” Mayawati said.
Slamming both the BJP and the Congress, she said both the parties had never suggested the name of any dalit for Prime Minister’s post. The BSP leader alleged both the parties were exploiting dalits for their own interests and did nothing to improve their lot.
Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, she said merely eating and sleeping in dalit houses cannot lead to realization of their pains and sufferings. The BSP supremo, however, added the voters were not “fools” and understood the differences between between “reality and drama”.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said she did not believe in “caste politics”,but wanted to remove differences between upper and lower castes.
Mayawati said the BSP was the only party which was working for the welfare of Muslims.
