A day after he was released from Tihar Jail,DMK MP A Raja attended Parliament for about half-an-hour on Wednesday afternoon. Declining to speak to the media,Raja headed straight to the Lok Sabha with other DMK members like A K S Vijayan and sat in the back row.
His seat was earlier in the front since he was a minister. I dont know whether the Lok Sabha secretariat has allocated him a new seat, said an MP.
However,Raja did not join his colleagues for the group photograph of MPs to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Parliament. I asked him why he didnt come in time for the group photograph. He said he wanted to come late, said DMK leader T K S Elangovan.
After spending a few minutes in the House,Raja went to central hall, where he was greeted by some MPs. Members said he was seen with Vijayan,Dayanidhi Maran,Adhi Shankar and E G Sugavanam.
Asked if Raja would participate in House proceedings,a DMK leader said,He would like to keep his appearances low-key,participating in a debate would attract unnecessary attention…. Maybe in the next session.
