Govt selectively leaking Pradhan Committee report: BJP

BJP blamed the government of 'selectively leaking' the Ram Pradhan Commission report that deals with the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

BJP on Thursday blamed the government of “selectively leaking” the Ram Pradhan Commission report that deals with the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

“The government is selectively leaking portions of the Ram Pradhan report. This is an attempt by the government to cover some aspects of the report,as only administrative failure is being highlighted in the leaks and not the failure of the political leadership,” BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar alleged.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Balbir Punj had yesterday shared some details of the Pradhan report in his

presentation on internal security. However,Javadekar said his party did not have the report and demanded it to be made public.

To a question on how he knew the Commission report also dealt with failure of the political leadership,he evaded a direct reply, saying he was only aware that it dealt with other causes of failure during 26/11 incident.

BJP described the Ram Pradhan report as an “eye-opener on how a city should NOT be protected”.

The Ram Pradhan Commission report, dealing with Mumbai terror attack and the government response to it,was submitted to the government a few months back, but it is yet to be made public.
