The JMM will release a new manifesto for the Jharkhand Assembly elections, reportedly after the one released on Monday was riddled with errors.
The manifesto released by Shibu Soren on Monday was surprisingly brief and had a number of grammatical as well as spelling errors. It contained only a page on the achievements of the outgoing government under Hemant Soren.
The manifesto even failed to mention the party’s stand on the domicile policy, something that has been at the core of what the JMM stand for. General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said the new manifesto would be released on Wednesday. “We were missing a page… It was not because we made mistakes,” he said. When asked about the absence of domicile policy, Bhattacharya said the new manifesto would correct that mistake: “The missing page was about the domicile policy.”
