The BJP on Friday said that they are in touch with other parties over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir which is under Governor rule. "Few leaders have been authorised to speak over the issue (of the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir) as only the leaders authorised (by the party) are holding discussion over the issue," MoS in the PMO Jitendra Singh told reporters when asked about BJP’s efforts for government formation in the state.. "However, it is difficult to forecast as to when these talks will take shape, but the continuation of democratic process is in everybody’s interest,’’ he said, adding that "it is also our commitment" to the people of the state. Asked with which party the BJP was holding talks for the formation of a government in the state, he said, "Talks are being held with everyone." "Our channels are open with all. We are a democratic party and we will not hold back if anybody will come to us for talks,’’ he added. Meanwhile, sources said that both the BJP and PDP were in touch with each other and the first indication of it is likely to be visible during election to four Rajya Sabha seats from the state on February 7. Governor rule was imposed in the state on January 8, nearly 11 days ahead of the deadline earlier given by NN Vohra to them after the verdict of the assembly polls.
