No post-poll understanding with BSP,SP: BJP

The BJP ruled out any post-poll understanding with BSP and SP in UP and said it will order an investigation into ‘scams’ in the state when these parties were in power.

The BJP on Friday ruled out any post-poll understanding with BSP and SP in Uttar Pradesh and said it will order an investigation into “scams” in the state when these parties were in power.

BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said,”the present BSP and previous SP governments indulged in corrupt practices. The Centre had provided the state with more than Rs 83,000 crore for various welfare schemes from 2005-2008,but it went down the drain because of various scams and corrupt practices.”

He said,if voted to power, the NDA Government would order enquiry into corruption and various scams under these parties. Naqvi also ruled out possibility of any understanding with BSP or SP after elections.

Accusing the UPA Government of turning a blind eye on corruption in the state,Naqvi alleged that Congress too was responsible for “wastage” of crores of rupees. He said his charges were based on reports of CAG and Planning Commission.
