Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will present the "best administrator in India" award to Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee here tomorrow. The award is instituted by K Karunakaran Foundation in the memory of the late veteran Congress leader and four-time Chief Minister of Kerala. Mukherjee,the principal trouble-shooter for the ruling party,will be its first recipient. He was selected for the honour in recognition of his 'political and administrative acumen' and his 'outstanding services' to the nation,foundation Chairman and KPCC (Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee) President Ramesh Chennithala said. The award ceremony is likely to be attended by Defence Minister A K Antony,Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi,Minister of State for Power K C Venugopal,Congress MPs from Kerala and the late leader's son K Muraleedharan and daughter Padmaja Venugopal. The award carries a purse of Rs 1 lakh,citation and a memento.
