Sena wants Anant Geete as minister

Former union minister for power Geete, 63, is the leader of the Shiv Sena parliamentary party and also represents Raigad constituency in the newly elected Lok Sabha.

The Shiv Sena has nominated former union minister Anant Geete as its representative in the government led by Narendra Modi, who will assume office Monday evening. Party president Uddhav Thackeray will attend the swearing-in ceremony along with other party leaders.

Former union minister for power Geete, 63, is the leader of the Shiv Sena parliamentary party and also represents Raigad constituency in the newly elected Lok Sabha.

Though Rajya Sabha member Rajkumar Dhoot, a noted industrialist, had lobbied for the Sena berth in the government, Uddhav

opted for a political face, sources said.
