Separatists break silence over possible PDP-BJP alliance, say will fight tooth and nail against it

This is for the first time since the election results threw up a fracture mandate in Jammu and Kashmir and BJP has emerged as a strong contender to be in power that separatists have broken their silence over the issue.

The separatist group said that the PDP chief Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is deliberating upon tying with communal and anti-Kashmir party, BJP, for the government formation just for the lust of power.

Though Shah maintained that the “pro-India” political parties like PDP and National Conference, Congress and the independent candidates are “different faces of the same coin”, he has said that the people of valley will resist any such alliance. “(We) will fight tooth and nail against any such communal attempt aimed at eroding the special status of Jammu and Kashmir or its demographic change,” he said.

Shah’s statement on a possible PDP-BJP tie-up has come a day after firebrand woman separatist leaders Syeda Aasia Andrabi said that the way BJP is trying to come into power is a “part of the long term programme of right wing Hindus” and asked people to remain vigilant against the “secret nefarious designs of RSS”.

“The people in entire Jammu and  Kashmir particularly people in Kashmir and Chenab Valley should remain vigilant  against the secret  nefarious  designs  of RSS who are working on ending the Muslim  majority status of Jammu and Kashmir,” Andrabi said. “BJP is harping on being  given a mandate to rule by the people when in reality people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected them on 62 seats”.

Andrabi said that BJP is trying its best to form government here so that “plans of RSS for a demographic change” can be set into motion. “The disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir is the main hurdle for these RSS plans. Therefore, they have targeted to settle at least 15 to 20 lakh non-Muslims in the state by 2021 so that the Muslim majority character of the state can be negated,” she said. “The first step for this long term plan is to bring BJP into power in Jammu and Kashmir”.

Andrabi said though the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir is “meaningless” for them but she feels her duty to warn “our people in advance about these nefarious designs”.
