The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday launched the ‘My Modi’ mobile app to increase the reach of their election campaign, after running active campaigns on social networking sites.

A few party members were seen in public, carrying donation boxes with another toll free number (078220078200) printed on it. People were asked to donate voluntarily for the ‘party fund’. The boxes carried the label “mission 272 plus”.
The supporters carrying the donation boxes said, “Mission 272 plus means that we want to win minimum 272 seats in the parliament to gain a two-third majority.”
However, they added, ”More the merrier. So our mission is 272 plus.”
Though Modi merchandise was being sold in various parts of Punjab in the form of jackets, t-shirts, caps, robes etc to raise more money for the elections, only a few were seen wearing those items in the rally.
However, many supporters were seen sporting the Shiromani Akali Dal robes.
