The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya is responding to treatment and his condition is said to be stable at the moment. Dalmiya was admitted to the BM Birla Heart Research Centre on Thursday evening after he complained of severe chest pain and breathlessness. The Indian cricket board chief remains at the Intensive Care Unit and a five-member medical board has been set up for his treatment. [related-post] “He’s better with an improved ECG. A coronary angiography was done yesterday. The clot was aspirated out to ensure good flow in coronary artery. As per medical protocol, he would be kept under observation for the next few days,” said the hospital statement on Friday. The BCCI officials are in touch with Dalmiya’s family members. Secretary Anurag Thakur, IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla and former president N Srinivasan called to wish a speedy recovery. Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and Ravi Shastri, also, called to enquire about Dalmiya’s health.
