“The following venues were approved for hosting Test matches: Pune, Rajkot, Vizag, Dharamsala, Indore and Ranchi,” the BCCI had said in its Press release.

The Indian Express had reported that DDCA is currently entangled in non-payment of Entertainment Tax which is recovered from the state government and an assessment order had directed them to pay Rs 24.45 crore.

Due to the issue of non-payment. it looks unlikely that the state government will give a green signal to the match.

“While the DDCA is willing to pay an estimated Rs 1 crore as advance entertainment tax for the fourth and final Test, officials are worried that the excise, entertainment and luxury tax office, which falls under the Delhi government, won’t give them the green signal for the match because of pending dues,” we had reported then.
