Two match winning stars for the Sunrisers Hydrabad (SRH), fast bowler Umran Malik- known as Jammu Express and aggressive batsman Rahul Tripathi in a post match conversation shared their experience of the match against Punjab Kings that they won by 8 wickets on Sunday.

Umran asks Rahul how he managed to chase the score of 144 when he was not able to hit the first few balls. “Yes, in the start, I took time but after playing some balls and understanding how the pitch is playing, I got some boundaries and did a good chase,” Tripathy said.

Tripathi came in when SRH were on 45/2 but with his match-winning knock of 74 runs in 48 balls, he helped SRH to chase the score of 144.

In the video, Tripathi gifted the broken bails to Umran as the fast bowler had broken it while scattering Punjab Kings player Harpreet Brar’s stumps on the very first ball of 11th over.

An eager Tripathi also asked Umran if he had ever broken the bails with the tennis balls. “Probably, I have broken stumps with tennis balls once but in IPL this is second or third. I had broken one or two bails in last IPL. It also happened when i was playing for India,” said Umran.

On being asked if he is happy with his bowling so far, Umran said,”Yes, I am happy, i am bowling at the right areas and I will try to bowl slowers and yorkers in death overs. The boundery was shorter at one side where I thought will lose runs, but captain asked me to bowl in that area so I bowled there. But that created chances of getting wickets. We will continue to work on our plans and give better performance.”

Earlier, Punjab Kings lost wickets at regular intervals, Dhawan showed his teammates how to do it with his incredible knock.

Asked to bat first, Punjab Kings endured a disastrous start as they lost Prabhsimran Singh in the very first ball of the match, trapped in front of the wicket by veteran India seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
The ball hit him above the knee roll but Prabhsimran decided to walk back without asking for a review, leaving Punjab at none for one.
Skipper Shikhar Dhawan played Bhuvneshwar towards the third man region for the innings first boundary.
