Indian market is one of the most promising arenas for all gadget makers and Milagrow founder Rajeev Karwal, known as the poster boy of consumer durables industry, surely knows the pulse of the fast-growing gizmo industry. While his brand building efforts at LG Electronics,ONIDA,Philips and Electrolux are part of marketing folklore, nowadays he and his team are churning out innovative gadgets at regular intervals. A couple of months ago,his Gurgaon-based venture impressed us when it sent its RedHawk home cleaning robot for a product review and with the TabTop 7.4 tablet,it has managed to go one better.

Rajeev,a person credited for turning around the fortunes of mega corporates, knows the harsh market reality—the competition is ferocious for shelf space,so launch an attractive gadget with a good set of features, which many people will want to try. The company’s 7-inch tablet has it all—a good-looking piece of hardware with responsive software and useful content. It is a slim, stylish and affordable device. The first impression is the feeling you get when you hold it in your hand— it is extremely slim at just 6.5 mm maximum thickness.

Let us dissect the device to understand it better. Once the tablet is switched on,the screen is noticeably better looking and very crisp to the eye. The fine screen quality is even more striking when viewing high resolution movies. The touch response is phenomenal too. With a screen aspect ratio of 4:3,it also boasts of the largest utilisable area of 23.54 square inches as compared to the regular 15.63 square inches of all other 16:9 7-inch tablets when viewing a 4:3 document or image. For a user, this means a significantly 51% more screen area. The standard of 4:3 is the universal benchmark for office purpose presentations,Excel spreadsheets as well as for cameras including digital single-lens reflex cameras. To further enhance the user experience,it has a fast wake up and boot up time at just 0.5 seconds and 39.5 seconds respectively.
