From ‘Copilot Daily’ to Voice Mode: Microsoft revamps Copilot homepage

Microsoft's new Copilot interface is more visually appealing and brings several new features like Copilot Daily, a 30 minute summary of the events happening around the world.

Microsoft recently revamped the Copilot interface on web browsers and introduced some new features. If you have been using AI-powered chatbots, here’s a quick guide to the new Copilot interface and features.

short article insert When users visit copilot.microsoft.com, they will be greeted with a new block called “Copilot Daily”, which lets users listen to a 30 minute overview of what’s been happening around the world. There are other blocks as well, which are filled with some questions that you can ask the AI powered chatbot.

On the bottom, you now have a translucent bottom bar with the leftmost button giving you quick access to your past conversations with Copilot. The plus icon to the right allows you to upload images, videos and supported documents and ask the AI chatbot to analyse and answer questions about them.

As was the case previously, the box with text “Message Copilot” starts a new conversation with Copilot. To return to Copilot’s homepage when you are done with a chat, press on the Copilot icon located on the left side of the bottom bar.

However, clicking on the microphone icon to the right opens a new Copilot Voice screen, which, as the name suggests, lets you talk to the AI chatbot. You can also choose from 4 voices – Meadow, Canyon, Grove and Wave, which can also be used to change the voice of Copilot Daily. To do so, simply click on your profile picture from the top right and tap on ‘Voice’.

Copilot on web now also features both Light and Dark themes, with the latter turning the background black and making the text a little red, which helps reduce eye strain.
