People are discovering new ways to integrate ChatGPT into their workflows and that obviously means that the AI chatbot is being accessed more frequently by the average user everyday. Unfortunately, despite the chatbot’s growing popularity, its website continues to be the only official gateway. But there are other niftier ways. If you are a Galaxy Watch owner – or have any other watch running Wear OS (Fossil, Garmin, Oppo) for that matter – you can quickly access ChatGPT right from your wrist. This can be especially useful for those who are tired of Google Assistant and want something else to handle queries. We’ll be using the WearGPT app to make this happen. The app, developed by “Anuj M. & Yash M.,” not only accepts voice input, but also answers queries in voice for hands-free communication. Follow the steps below to use it. 1. Fire up the Google Play Store on your Wear OS smartwatch and search for “WearGPT” 2. If you are doing this from a desktop or your phone, tap on Install on more devices and select your watch 3. Once installed, open the app drawer on the watch and tap WearGPT Using WearGPT is simple. The fastest way to access ChatGPT through the app is by tapping the microphone icon on the home screen of the WearGPT app. Once done with the query, hit the send button. That’s not the only way to feed your query to ChatGPT using the app, though. If you’d rather type in the question, there’s also a text field on the left of the mic icon you can tap. The same text field can also be used to edit the query fed earlier using the mic. Once you send the question, ChatGPT will process it for a few seconds and then return an answer on the same screen. You can tap the speaker button if you wish to listen to the answer. Do note that while you’ll probably find ChatGPT better equipped to handle your queries, it can’t replace Google Assistant completely. Certain tasks such as note-taking, setting alarms and reminders, and getting directions are still not properly supported by ChatGPT, so you’ll have to continue to rely on Assistant for those.
