Meta recently expanded the availability of its AI services in India, where the social media conglomerate has integrated its platforms WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger with generative AI. Besides this, the company has also launched a standalone website which enables users to directly access Meta AI from any web browser for free. Although Meta AI is currently free to use, having a Facebook account is a must in order to prompt the AI virtual assistant on the website. This means that anyone who doesn't have a Facebook account will not be able to access the web version of Meta AI. Meta AI is powered by Llama 3, which can generate text and images. With a click, Meta AI can also transform AI-generated images into short animated clips, which can also be further customised via text prompts. Users can preview the image generation in real time. The functionalities of Meta AI are quite similar to any other generative AI tool. It can be used to draft an email or an essay, and you can also ask it questions of all sorts. As it can access the latest information from the web, it is reportedly capable of delivering relevant and up-to-date results. Unlike Gemini Advanced or ChatGPT Plus, there is no paid version of Meta AI. All the features are currently available for everyone to use for free, without any limitation. How to access Meta AI on any web browser: Accessing the web version of Meta AI is a fairly straightforward process and works on both mobile as well as desktop web browsers. Go to Meta.ai and log in using your Facebook account. Once logged in, Meta AI will showcase some of the prompts you can try on the home page, or if you already know what you want, you can just type your query in the chat box. Similar to other chatbots, Meta AI will save all the conversations with users which can be accessed at any given time. There is also an option for users to delete a specific conversation. For now, there is no temporary chat feature similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT available on Meta AI.
