Nothing, a London-based consumer electronics brand, announced on Tuesday that it is expanding ChatGPT integration to its entire audio portfolio, including the company’s first product—the Nothing Ear (1), launched in 2021.
Back in April, Nothing introduced two pairs of TWS earphones—the Nothing Ear (a) and the Nothing Ear—with ChatGPT integration. These earbuds allowed users to access OpenAI’s chatbot directly by simply pinching their stems. The company is now expanding the same capabilities to the rest of its audio devices, including the CMF products, through an update via the Nothing X app on May 21.
Nothing sells a range of wireless audio products that includes the CMF Buds, CMF Neckband Pro, and the CMF Buds Pro along with the newly announced Ear (a) and the Ear. It is interesting to see that the company is extending its software support to even discontinued devices such as the Ear (1) and the Ear (2) along with the Ear (Stick).
With an upcoming update, Nothing’s all seven audio products launched till date will gain ChatGPT capabilities. Do note that, to use this feature, one needs to install the ChatGPT and Nothing X apps on their smartphone.
If you own any of these audio products from Nothing, make sure they are running on the latest firmware to experience ChatGPT without unlocking your smartphone.
For users of the Nothing smartphone, the company recently introduced ChatGPT widgets, which provide direct access to the chatbot from the home screen, and ChatGPT Plus users can directly click a picture and upload it to ChatGPT to get much quicker responses.
