xAI, the Elon Musk owned artificial intelligence company that recently acquired X, has released a new tool called Grok Studio that lets users generate documents, code, reports and even quickly make browser games.

According to a recent post on Grok’s official X handle, “Grok Studio will open your content in a separate window, allowing both you and Grok to collaborate on the content together.”

When users ask Grok to generate a piece of code, it will show up in a ‘preview’ tab where they will be able to see things like HTML snippets and run Python, C++, Javascript, Typescript and bash scripts. Another thing to note here is that Grok Studio also features Google Drive integration, meaning you can attach files like spreadsheets, slides and documents in a few clicks.

Grok’s new functionality is similar to ChatGPT’s Canvas and Claude’s Anthropic, both of which were launched last year. However, a key difference between the two is that unlike ChatGPT Canvas, which is only available for paid users, Grok Studio can be accessed by everyone for free.

Last month, when Elon Musk unveiled Grok 3, the AI chatbot took the internet by storm because of its edgy, unfiltered answers about Indian politicians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
