While the leaked 3D-printed model thrilled Switch fanboys, Nintendo clarified in a machine-translated statement to Japanese CNET that "the gaming hardware that Genki is claiming to be Nintendo hardware at CES is unofficial and was not provided to the company by Nintendo." The company also said it hasn't seen the product, which is surprising considering Genki claimed it came across the Switch 2 just a few days ago. While nothing is officially known about Switch 2 at the moment, Nintendo has clarified that its upcoming gaming handheld device will be backwards compatible and that it may use AI upscaling technology to run games at a higher resolution.
