Lenovo might showcase new laptop concepts at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, and some of these products have now surfaced online. Evan Blass, a prominent leaker, in an X post on Wednesday, shared pictures of two such concepts: a solar-powered laptop and a Magic Bay module that allows users to attach up to two additional screens to a laptop.
The solar-powered Lenovo Yoga will feature a special lid made of solar cells, likely designed to continuously charge the laptop while in use and even when idle. However, there is currently limited information on how long the solar panels will take to fully charge the device.

While we have seen solar-powered concepts for smartphones and other devices, they haven’t been very successful due to limited power generation. This is why solar panels on consumer tech products are mostly limited to calculators and watches, devices that require very little power. It looks like Lenovo may have achieved a breakthrough in solar technology, generating enough power to sustain a laptop’s requirements. Alternatively, the solar panels might serve as a backup power source, slowly but steadily charging the device.
Like most Lenovo Yoga-branded laptops, the upcoming solar-powered variant is also expected to be a thin-and-light machine. However, it is speculated to be a concept device, meaning it may not be available for purchase anytime soon.
Similarly, the Magic Bay, which is likely to be compatible with various Lenovo laptops, will support two additional screens with a 360-degree hinge, enabling a range of use cases. These screens are expected to connect to the main PC without requiring an external power source, drawing power from the laptop itself. Data transmission will likely occur via pogo pins located on the Magic Bay module.
In recent years, Lenovo has showcased several concept smartphones and laptops at major tech events, including a laptop with a rollable screen, a rollable smartphone, a smartphone with two-way satellite connectivity, and more.
