DataWind, the company known for delivering low-cost internet access to emerging markets has announced a new budget 7-inch tablet in India. The new budget tablet PC named i3G7 is priced at Rs 5,999.

The DataWind tablet PC i3G7 is powered by Intel’s 64-bit quad-core X3 processor and supports voice calling feature. DataWind says its internet delivery platform will reduce bandwidth consumption by up to 97 percent.

DataWind tablet PC i3G7 comes with 8GB built-in storage and can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. DataWind tablet PC i3G7 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro-USB connectivity options.

“With this new product, we are offering Indian consumers a unique combination of superior technology and unmatched style. Like its predecessors, the tablet offers the right mix of features and on-the-go connectivity,” said Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO, DataWind.

The DataWind tablet PC i3G7 also supports 3G via SIM slot. DataWind says its 7-inch tablet comes with talk time of up to 4 hours and will be available from gadgets360.com.
