Google is hosting its annual “Made by Google” launch event on August 13, where the company will introduce its latest Pixel 9 series of smartphones along with the Buds Pro 2, Watch 3, and more. The event will commence at 10:30 PM IST on August 13 and will be live-streamed on the company’s “Made By Google” YouTube channel.
At the global launch event, Google will introduce all the new features and capabilities of its latest smartphones. Notably, Google is also hosting a dedicated India launch event on August 14, where the company will make India-specific announcements regarding the Pixel 9 series.
As per the leaks, the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro will come with a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL will include a big 6.8-inch screen. Lastly, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with an 8-inch primary foldable screen and a 6.3-inch cover display.
All four devices will be based on the Tensor G4 chip, with the Pro models offering up to 16 GB of RAM. The Pixel 9 will have a dual-camera system at the back, while the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will include a triple camera setup with a dedicated telephoto lens.
Google is also expected to introduce the Watch 3, which is speculated to come in two sizes — 41mm and 45mm. Lastly, the company will also introduce the Buds Pro 2, a premium TWS earbud that will compete against the likes of the AirPods Pro and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
Google will also launch Android 15 at the event, and the Pixel 9 series will be the first set of smartphones to ship with it. The new update will also be available for the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and Pixel 8 series of smartphones.
