Nothing Phone users can now access ChatGPT from the home screen

Accessing ChatGPT on Nothing Phone just got a lot easier.

Nothing Phone user can now quickly access ChatGPT from their home screen, thanks to a new ChatGPT widget. Currently available on the Nothing Phone (2) running on Nothing OS 2 via the Quick Settings option.

Nothing Phone (2) (review) users need to download and use the ChatGPT app at least once to access ChatGPT from the home screen quickly. Users can access the ChatGPT shortcut from the quick settings menu, which can be added as a widget, allowing them to access the ChatGPT voice chat on the Nothing Phone (2) home screen.

ChatGPT recently added a shortcut to the quick toggle settings, which can be used to quickly access ChatGPT without opening the app. On the Nothing Phone (2), users can also add the same widget to the home screen, offering much quicker access to ChatGPT.

Another report also suggests that OpenAI is working on an option that will allow users to set ChatGPT as the default personal voice assistant on Android smartphones. Users could quickly access ChatGPT by long-pressing the power button. However, unlike Google Assistant, ChatGPT won’t provide real-time information but will offer more curated information with a wealth of facts and figures. Nothing has also confirmed that the Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 update very soon, which is currently in the beta stage.

Not just on the Nothing Phone, users may be able to set ChatGPT as the default voice assistant on Android smartphones in the future. Users can either use the free version or subscribe to ChatGPT Plus for a monthly fee of Rs 1,950.
