OnePlus 7T, OnePlus TV India launch highlights: OnePlus 7T starts at Rs 37,999, OnePlus TV starts at Rs 69,900

The OnePlus 7T has officially been announced and it comes with a triple rear camera setup at the back and a new upgraded Snapdragon 855+ processor. Click here to read more.

OnePlus also announced the availability of OnePlus Care protection program, under which consumers will get an extended year of warranty, 50 per cent off on battery replacement, a buy back offer and additional offers.

Everything announced today will be made available at the company's pop-up event on September 27. OnePlus 7T will be made available for consumers to purchase via OnePlus.in, Amazon and OnePlus Experience Stores starting September 28.

ONePlus 7T has been priced at Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant whereas the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at Rs 39,999. 

OnePlus TV Q1 is priced at Rs 69,900, Q1 Pro is priced at Rs 99,900. Bullets Wireless 2 Olive Green is priced at Rs 5,990. 

OnePlus has introduced two variants of the OnePlus TV: OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro. Both the TVs are almost the same in terms of specifications, with the difference being that the Pro variant comes with a soundbar.

OnePlus has launched its two variants of the OnePlus TV, two colour options of the OnePlus 7T and an olive green colour option of the Bullet Wireless 2.

When you get a call while watching the OnePlus TV, the TV will slow down the volume to 10 per cent automatically.

OnePlus Connect will allow you to control the OnePlus TV with the help of your smartphone. The TV can also be controlled with the help of Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The skin which is being used on top of Android TV on the OnePlus TV is called Oxygen Play. 

OnePlus has promised that the OnePlus TV will come with three years worth of guaranteed Android TV updates. The company states that it will bring Netflix support to the TV later this year.

The remote control only has a minimal amount of buttons, as the company states they did not want to make the remote to convoluted. The remote will not come with removable cells, instead, it will come with an in-built battery, which will be chargeable with a Type-C charger.

The OnePlus TV is completely bezel-less and does not have any physical buttons.

OnePlus TV is only 7mm thin at the thinnest part at the back. It will come with a carbon fibre design back. All of the ports are hidden on the back with the help of a magnetic plate.

OnePlus TV comes with an integrated soundbar, with eight speakers in total (six in the front and two in the back). It also has two sub-woofers. The smart TV comes with a total 50W of sound output, with its nearest competitor having a sound output of 40W. 

OnePlus TV will come with a silently sliding soundbar, which will descend when the TV is turned on.

OnePlus TV will support Dolby enabled content on Amazon Prime Video, Sun NXT, Voot, Netflix, Eros Now, YuppFlix.

OnePlus TV will use software optimisations to convert 30fps videos into 60fps, to make them look much smoother. OnePlus TV uses Dolby Vision HDR technology, which makes the images look much brighter, have accurate colours and have a lot of details.

OnePlus has used a Gamma Color Magic chip, which is a processor that OnePlus is using to make the pictures look more natural and clear. 

OnePlus TV has a 96 per cent DCI-P3 score and an NTSC score of 120 per cent. Both of which the company claims are the highest in class

OnePlus states that with the OnePlus TV they have focused on the picture quality, sound quality, a good design and an easy to navigate OS. OnePlus has used custom-built QLED panels, with customised Quantum Dots.

The company is yet to reveal the price of the OnePlus 7T, which we think it will reveal alongside the pricing of the OnePlus TV.

OnePlus says the OnePlus TV has been in development for over 14 months.  With the OnePlus TV, the company states it will redefine the Smart TV experience

OnePlus has announced OnePlus Pay. The company claims that with the new OnePlus Pay, you will not be required to carry your wallet ever.

OnePlus will now provide users with international roaming on their smartphones. Now, users can get international roaming packages directly from OnePlus.

OnePlus comes with a new Work-Life Balance Mode, and the phone can identify where the user is and turns on the mode automatically when it thinks it is required by the user. 

OnePlus is offering 55GB of free cloud storage to OnePlus 7T users.

Two weeks ago OnePlus completed 1,500 Days anniversary of OxygenOS. OnePlus says the OnePlus 7T will be the first smartphone in the world to come pre-loaded with Google's Android 10 out of the box.

The Android 10 will be skinned with the company's own OxygenOS skin on top.

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for audio. It also comes with a new Haptic Motor, which will help better user experience while gaming.

OnePlus 7T supports the company's Warp Charge 30T technology, which is 23 per cent faster than Warp Charge 30 technology found in the OnePlus 7 Pro.

OnePlus 7T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with an Adreno 640 GPU. It also comes with UFS 3.0 storage technology

To recap OnePlus 7T's triple camera setup, it consists of a 48MP primary sensor paired with a 117-degree secondary sensor and a 2X telephoto tertiary sensor. It comes with a Macro Lens, Ultra-Wide Nightscape and Super Stable Video feature.

OnePlus states that the Portrait Mode is now much more versatile with the OnePlus 7T thanks to its triple camera setup.

OnePlus 7T features a 48MP primary wide-angle sensor paired with a 117-degree Ultra-Wide sensor and a 2X telephoto sensor on the back inside of the circular camera module, which also holds the LED flash.

OnePlus states that it will keep investing in motion design and keep on bringing newer and better products to the market. OnePlus 7T will come with a Super Stable mode for videos, which will make the videos shot on it much steadier.

OnePlus 7T comes with a brand new generation of AMOLED display that has now inbuilt eye protection features, 1,000 nits of brightness, and HDR 10+ support. The company has also introduced a Chromatic Reading Mode, which provides users with low saturated colours instead of just a black and white display.

OnePlus 7T comes with a 90Hz fluid display. The company states that from now on all future OnePlus smartphones will come with a 90Hz Fluid Display. Fluid Display is not only about a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 40ms touch response rate, processor optimisations and animation optimisations. 

OnePlus 7T comes with a circular triple camera module, which makes the device look much more symmetrical

OnePlus has just announced the OnePlus 7T without waiting even a bit. It showed off the design of the smartphone at the start of the event after it said that the brand is the number one Premium Smartphone brand in India. In Q2, it acquired 43 per cent market share.

We already know that the OnePlus 7T will host a triple rear camera setup where the sensors will be placed in a circular module. The primary sensor is reported to be a 48MP sensor paired with a 12MP telephoto lens and a 16MP ultrawide-angle lens. OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 7T will have a 3,800mAh battery with support for Warp Charge technology.

The OnePlus 7T is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with Adreno 640 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage.

OnePlus 7T is reported to have a 6.55-inch AMOLED display and the company has confirmed that the screen will have a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone could have a waterdrop-style notch on top like the one seen at its predecessor OnePlus 7.

The OnePlus TV will include 8 speakers with 50W output and support for Dolby Atmos audio. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau informed that the smart TV from the brand will have the function to automatically adjust the volume when you get a phone call.

The OnePlus TV will be powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor and it will run on Android 9 Pie operating system with OnePlus’ own skin on top. The smart TV from OnePlus will have HDR support as well as Dolby Vision.

OnePlus is venturing into the TV market with its first-ever smart TV.  The OnePlus TV will feature a 55-inch QLED (Quantum dot LED) screen with 4K resolution. The QLED panel is better than the conventional LCD panel but a step down from the OLED panel.

Hungama Digital Media has entered into a strategic partnership with OnePlus for its smart TV to enable streaming of Hungama Play. The Hungama Play is a video streaming service that contains a multi-lingual and multi-genre library of movies, TV shows, and kids’ content.

OnePlus 7T was open for pre-booking at any OnePlus experience store, authorised store or kiosk. Those who have pre-booked the device can avail one-time accidental screen replacement, which will be valid for six months from date of purchase. More offers include 50 per cent off on Bullets Wireless 2 and an instant discount of Rs 1500 for transactions on select bank debit and credit cards.

OnePlus is hosting pop-ups across eight Indian cities from September 27, which is a day after OnePlus 7T, OnePlus TV launch. At the pop-ups, OnePlus will display the newly launched OnePlus 7T and the new OnePlus TV starting from 2 pm. The pop-up stores will be put up in Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.

OnePlus is also hosting events where it will livestream the launch. The locations are as follows

Of course question is whether there will be a OnePlus 7T Pro at the event as well. Right now it looks like the brand is only confirming one phone at the launch event, though there have been plenty of leaks showing the OnePlus 7T Pro. The OnePlus TV and OnePlus 7T event starts at 8 pm later tonight and the launch is taking place in Delhi. OnePlus will reveal the prices and full specifications of both devices. The OnePlus 7T is the successor to the OnePlus 7. The OnePlus TV is entirely new territory for the brand, and we will have to wait and see how this is priced in India. Both products will be listed on Amazon India and OnePlus' online store.
