At the Summer Launch Event 2024, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Pad 2 alongside the Nord 4, Watch 2R and Nord Buds 3 Pro, its latest true wireless earbuds. Featuring Qualcomm's most powerful mobile chipset to date - Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the company's latest tablet sports a 12.1-inch 144Hz LCD screen that can go up to 600 nits under direct sunlight. With 3K resolution and Dolby Vision support, the OnePlus Pad 2 can dynamically switch the refresh rate between 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz. The tablet runs on Android 14 out of the box with some ColorOS optimisations for the big screen. OnePlus Pad 2 has a metal unibody, scratch-resistant smooth textured finish and packs a 9.510mah battery which the company claims offers up to 43 days standby and can be charged at 67W. It also has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front sensor that can be used for taking video calls or attending meetings. Featuring the in-house developed Holo Audio technology, OnePlus says the tablet's 6 speakers "precisely places different audio sources like calls, messages, videos and alarms within a hemisphere-shaped virtual space." On the software front, the OnePlus Pad 2 offers several AI-powered features like Smart Cutout 2.0 which lets users remove background from images, AI Eraser 2.0 for removing people and objects from photos, AI Speak for reading text-based content and AI Summary which can summarise long documents to name a few. The company also introduced a new stylus for the Pad 2 named 'Stylo 2' and a Smart Keyboard that will be sold separately. While the OnePlus Stylo 2 features an upgraded grip, the Smart Keyboard has a magnetic holder that ranges from 110 degrees to 165 degrees. The new keyboard has a 205mAh battery that weighs 504 grams. The base variant of the OnePlus Pad 2 which comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage can be purchased for Rs 39,999 while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at Rs 42,999. It will be available for purchase in India from OnePlus official website and Amazon from August 1.
