Oppo Reno, Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition India Launch Highlights: Reno, Reno 10x Zoom priced at Rs 32,990, Rs 39,990 respectively

The sale of the Oppo Reno an Oppo Reno 10x Zoom will commence on June 7. The phone will be available on Flipkart, Amazon, Tata CLiQ and other online channels as well. The Reno 10x Zoom 6GB/128GB model is online exclusive.

The pre-bookings of the phone will start from today on May 28, 2019.

Oppo India CEO and President Oppo South Asia, Charles Wong takes the stage. He announces the price for Oppo Reno series. Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is priced at 39,990 for 6GB/128GB model and Rs 49,990 for the 8GB/256GB storage model.

The Oppo Reno is priced at Rs 32,990 for the 8GB/128GB model.

Oppo Reno is launched. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 710 processor and features VOOC 3.0, 48M 5MP dual rear camera with Ultra-Night Mode, shark-fin rising camera, ColorOS 6, Dolby Atmos, NFC, HyperBoost 2.0.

Abraham takes the stage again. He summarises the specifications of Oppo Reno 10x Zoom. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 855 processor and features  VOOC 3.0, 48M+8MP+13MP triple rear camera with Ultra-Night Mode, shark-fin rising camera, ColorOS 6, Dolby Atmos, NFC, HyperBoost 2.0.

Reno 10x Zoom comes with HyperBoost 2.0 that comes with GameBoost 2.0, TouchBoost and FrameBoost. 

Reno 10x Zoom comes with the new ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie. The phone supports Oppo Cloud services that auto-synchronises user data like photos, settings and more.

Reno comes with stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.

Rishabh Srivastava, Product Manager Oppo India takes the stage. He announces that the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom comes with 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology.

The phone support 4K video at 60fps with support for OIS and EIS. It also has multiple microphones to create 3D audio. Zooming on a video shot on Reno also changes the audio levels.

The primary lens on Reno is a 48MP Sony IMX586 that comes with 1/2-inch ultra-large sensor, f/1.7 ultra-large aperture and laser detection focus. The phone takes multiple shots and traces background and subject separately to create a more realistic night mode picture.

Reno 10x Zoom sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor with OIS (optic image stabilisation) support, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with 120 degrees field of view, and a periscope style telescopic lens of 13MP. The phone supports 10x hybrid zoom.

Oppo Reno features a shark-fin rising mechanism, which sports the selfie camera sensor. The camera mechanism retracts the camera inside when it recognises free fall.

The screen of the Oppo Reno is 6.6-inch in size, with an in-display fingerprint sensor that works on the compensated projection solution. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top.

Oppo Reno has a full-screen display and the phone carries a 93.1 per cent screen to body ratio. The screen is covered with new AMOLED Luminescent materials. It reduces power consumption by 8 per cent. The screen comes with TUV Rheinland eye protection certification.

The phone comes in two colour gradient options-- Ocean Green and Jet Black. The back of the phone has a matte finish.

Jithin Abraham, the Product Manager of Oppo India takes the stage to unveil the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom. He says that Reno series comes without a bulg on the back as they have hidden the camera module completely under the back glass. He emphasises on the symmetrical design of the Reno.

There is a small ceramic dot on the back to save the camera lens when the phone lies on its back.

Will Yang says that Oppo has around 250 million users. In its six years of operation in India, it has employed 10,000 employees in the country. There are 60,000 sales points in India and more than 500 service centres across the country to provide good sales and after-sales services.

The set for the launch of Oppo Reno has been set. Mandira Bedi, the Emcee of the Oppo India is on the stage. She has invited the Chief Marketing officer Oppo South Asia, Will Yang on the stage to discuss the success of the Oppo.

The price of the Oppo Reno starts at Yuan 2,999 (around Rs 30,000) and Yuan 3,999 (around Rs 40,000) for the Reno 10x Zoom in China. The company is expected to keep the prices for India within the same bracket.

Oppo will be broadcasting the livestream of the launch of Reno series on its official website. Alternatively, users can also log on to YouTube and watch the launch event live at the Oppo’s official YouTube channel.

Oppo is all set to launch the Oppo Reno series smartphones in India today. It is hosting a launch event in New Delhi where the company is expected to unveil the Reno and Reno 10x Zoom. The event is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
