Redmi TV pre-orders have started and it will go on sale on September 10. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 pre-orders will begin from September 10, while the sale will be held on September 17. Redmi Note 8 Pro will go on sale from September 3.

Redmi TV with 70-inch screen, ultra-thin bezels also launched. The TV can be wall mounted and placed on stand either. Redmi TV is 4K HDR and supports Dolby Atoms audio as well as DTS HD. It supports three HDMI ports, two USB ports and WiFi dual band connectivity. The TV comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The TV will connect with other Xiaomi smart devices as well via an IoT control page on the TV. The price is 3799 yuan, which is around Rs 38,000 on conversion.

RedmiBook 14, which is an enhanced version of the previous-generation RedmiBook has been launched with Intel core i7 10th-gen processor. It also comes in pink colour in addition to grey colour option. It is said to offer 10 hours of battery life. The rest of the specifications of RedmiBook 14 are the same as its previous-generation model. RedmiBook 14 with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage with Intel core i5 10th-gen is priced at 4499 yuan. The Intel core i7 10th-gen variant will cost 4999 yuan.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is priced at 999 yuan (Rs 10,000 approximately) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option. The 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model is priced at 1199 yuan, which is around Rs 12,000 on conversion. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option is priced at 1399 yuan or around Rs 14,000.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro will cost 1399 yuan (Rs 14,000 approximately) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage option. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at 1599 yuan, which is around Rs 16,000 on conversion. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option will cost 1799 yuan or around Rs 18,000. Xiaomi has also launched a new case for Redmi Note 8 Pro that can protect the camera, priced at 39 yuan.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro will be available in three storage configurations - 6 RAM+64GB ROM, 6GB RAM+128 ROM, and 8GB RAM+128GB ROM. The phone will be backed by a 4,500 mAh battery, which is said to last two days. Redmi Note 8 Pro gets support for 18w fast charging as well. The fast charging will work on other chargers as well. Redmi Note 8 Pro will come with NFC as well, which will likely be limited to China.

Xiaomi has also launched a World of Warcraft edition for Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with certification from Tüv Rhinelandfor high network connection performance for gaming. The phone has gaming-related optimisation. The company also showcased game controller Redmi Note 8 Pro as well, which will cost 179 yuan. However, it will be available at a discount of 99 yuan for early buyers. Xiaomi says it has worked with the Black Shark team for the game controller.

Redmi Note 8 Pro runs the Mediatek G90t gaming chipset and supports liquid cooling for heat dissipation. Xiaomi compared Redmi Note 8 Pro with Honor 9x Pro from the inside, showing off the copper tube inside for cooling.

In addition to 64MP main camera sensor at the back, the rest of the three sensors are the same as Redmi Note 8 including 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth-sensing lens for portrait. 960 FPS slow-motion video is supported as well. The front camera is 20MP. Xiaomi has partnered with Tik Tok in China. Tik Tok Videos are incorporated in the Xiaomi camera option and one can create Tik Tok and share on the app.

Redmi Note 8 Pro will have a 64Mp camera, which is the highest resolution on a phone camera, claims Xiaomi. The quality of photos is not decided by the number of pixels alone. The image sensor is f/1.7, which is bigger and allows for better photos, claims the company. 9248x6936 is the maximum resolution at which this can shoot.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inches display with a 91.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The fingerprint scanner is just below the camera setup.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 3D curved glass display. The phone comes in a new Jade Green colour as well. The back has a textured finish, which the company is calling diamond cut grade texture. There is also a new white colour for Redmi Note 8 Pro, which reflects seven rainbow colours as the light hits the back. Different layers are compressed to get this back colour design. There’s also a grey colour.

Xiaomi now talking about Redmi Note 8 Pro. The company says the phone is positioned differently. Redmi Note 8 Pro has a completely different design, flagship-like performance, specs. It has been made to be a flagship.

Xiaomi says Redmi Note 8 has received an all-round upgrade compared to Redmi Note 7. Here are the differences.  

Redmi Note 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, which is said to reduce power consumption. Redmi Note 8 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and supports 18w fast charging. It uses a USB Type-C port.  The speakers are said to be 40 per cent louder, thanks to Smart PA technology.  Redmi Note 8 is also splash-proof and dust-proof. The phone has dust prevention nets to ensure that speakers don’t collect dust.

Redmi Note 8 has a quad-camera setup at the back, a combination of a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth camera for Portrait mode. It supports an improved night mode for low-light photography. The selfie camera is 13MP with AI beautify, Portrait mode and AI scene detection.

Redmi Note 8 is being launched first. Redmi Note 8 will have 90 per cent screen to body ratio. Thinner bezels. The display is 6.3-inches with a dot notch. It has a gradient colour at the back. The back fingerprint recognition is faster in the Redmi Note 8. However, Redmi designers improved the design at the back and the fingerprint scanning spot is 30 per cent smaller. It looks more harmonious with the design.

Redmi manager on stage, talking about the success of Redmi Note 7 series.  "At six months, we crossed 15 million shipments of Redmi Note 7. So people wonder how Redmi Note 8 will outperform?" The Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro were launched in India earlier this year. The Pro variant 48MP primary camera sensor at the back, full HD display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor. The price starts at Rs 13,999.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 device will have a 64MP quad-camera post and this was confirmed in a Weibo post. It will sport a vertical camera setup in the centre of the back cover. The phone is expected to use 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor as Xiaomi recently showcased the technology.
