Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Launch Event Highlights: Everything announced

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 5G variant starts at $849, whereas, the Galaxy Tab S7 starts at $1,049.The LTE variants start at $749 and $949, respectively and the Wi-Fi variants start at $649 and $849, respectively. It will also be made available starting August 21.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series will be made available in 4G variants only in select markets, whose details are yet to follow, rest all of the markets will get the 5G variant. The Galaxy Note 20 5G variant will start at $999 (approximately Rs 74,724) and the Note 20 Ultra 5G will start at $1,299 (approximately Rs 97,100). The Galaxy Note 20 series will be made available starting August 21.

Samsung has also revealed a new limited edition Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Thom Browne Edition. The limited edition has been designed by the iconic New York fashion house Thom Browne.

The company will also pair a pair of Galaxy Buds Live Thom Browne Edition, with the limited edition Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Samsung has finally showcased the successor to the Galaxy Fold, dubbed the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The company has made a lot of improvements, which it claims are influenced by user feedback from its earlier two foldable devices.

The company has revealed that the device will launch on September 1, which is also when the device will be made available for pre-ordering. It will be made available in Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze colour options.

The device will sport a 6.2-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch foldable display inside of the fold. On the back, it will feature a triple camera setup and on both the displays, it will feature single hole punch modules.

The company claims that the device features better bristles inside of it to keep the dust out.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live will be made available in select countries starting August 6.

The Galaxy Watch 3 will be made available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm, in LTE and Bluetooth variants. The 41mm variant will be made available in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Silver colour options. Whereas, the 45mm variant will be made available in Mystic Silver and Mystic Black colour options. The Titanium variant will be available later this year.

The Galaxy Buds Live will be made available in Mystic Bronze, Mystic White, and Mystic Black colour options.

Samsung has finally revealed its Galaxy Watch 3 will be made available in two sizes 41mm and 45mm. It comes with a stainless steel construction paired with leather bands. A Titanium variant of the device will also be made available.

The Galaxy Watch 3 comes with a rotating bezel to control it. The company claims that the Galaxy Watch 3 is 14 per cent thinner, 8 per cent smaller and 15 per cent lighter compared to the original Galaxy Watch. The device will support 80,000 watch faces in the Galaxy Store and can also design custom faces on your own. You will also get a library of 40 different complications allowing you to personalize your watch face with the information that’s most important to you.

The new Galaxy Watch 3 will come with a Blood oxygen (SpO2) meter, a blood pressure (BP) monitor and an electrocardiogram (ECG). All these features will be made available in the markets where these features have been authorized. It also comes with an SOS notification feature for use during an emergency.

Other features include running analysis, VO2 max readings tracker, library of more than 120 different video workouts, sleep score insights and more.

Samsung has revealed its new Buds Live, which will be made available in Black, White and a Bronze colour option. The Buds Live utilise AKG’s sound expertise and come with a 12mm speaker, which is comparatively bigger than the Galaxy Buds+.

They come with a big bass duct, which makes the bass sound much richer and fuller. They come with Active Noise Cancellation, which helps in cutting low constant noise from the background. The Active Noise Cancellation is assisted by the three microphones and Voice Pickup Unit on the device.

Samsung's partnership with Microsoft extends to Xbox. The company has announced that it will be making games like Minecraft Dungeon, Gears of War and more available on Samsung Galaxy devices via cloud gaming. All of this will be made available using Microsoft's Game Pass Ultimate.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be made available in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Green and Mystic Gray colour options. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be made available in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black and Mystic White colour options. And the Galaxy S7 series will be made available in Mystic Black, Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze colour options.

All of these products will be made available in select markets starting August 21.

After unveiling the new Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy Tab S7 series, which consists of two variants. The basic Tab S7 sports a 11-inch display, whereas the Galaxy Tab S7+ sports a 12.4-inch display. Both come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. Specifications of both the new tabs remain the same.

Along with the new Tab S7 series, the company has launched its new Book Cover Keyboard, which is improved a lot according to the company. The new S-Pen is just a bigger variant of the new and improved S-Pen for the Galaxy Note 20 series. It has also launched a new Bluetooth mouse for the users who want to use the Galaxy Tab S7 as their primary device.

The company has redesigned the S-Pen from the bottom up to make it more smoother and accurate. The new S-Pen will come with both the new Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The company claims that the device comes with an all-day battery and it can charge more than 50 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.

The Galaxy Note 20 series comes with 5G support (Sub-6 and mmWave networks) Wi-Fi 6 support. The devices are secured by the company's own Knox security software.

This is also the first time a Galaxy device will come with UWB12, Nearby Share, which will allow users to share files quickly and easily. With this functionality, users will also be able to find things more accurately with AR technology and unlock your home as a digital key.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy Note 20 series is an amalgamation of work and play. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra features a 120Hz display with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The company claims that the cameras on the series are phenomenal.

For the Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung has partnered with Microsoft to allow users to play over 100 Xbox games on your phone from the cloud with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked August 2020 event has started and the company has unveiled five new products: The Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Tab S7, S7+, Galaxy Watch3, Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Z Fold2.

Qualcomm recently announced the launch of its latest generation Gorilla Glass Victus, which comes with improved scratch resistance and drop protection. During the launch, the company announced that Samsung will be the first manufacturer to use the glass inside of their upcoming flagship. It is being assumed that the Galaxy Note 20 series will come protected with Gorilla Glass Victus.Some reports state that only the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will feature Gorilla Glass Victus and the Galaxy Note 20 will sport Gorilla Glass 6. However, some other reports state that both the devices will sport Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Hours ahead of the launch Evan Blass - popular leakster - reveals details of the upcoming Samsung products to be announced at today's Unpacked event. Blass released a video that shows the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in all its glory showing the premium design and the rectangular camera module. In the video the screen looks almost bezel-less.

Samsung will be hosting its “Galaxy Unpacked” event later tonight. At the event, which will take place in Seoul, South Korea, Samsung will likely show off five new products – the Galaxy Note 20 Pro lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will reportedly sport a 7.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display when unfolded and a 6.23-inch display on the outer shell when folded. It will come with five cameras in total, three on the back and one on each display for taking selfies. Rest of the specifications seem to be borrowed from the Galaxy S20, launched earlier this year.

The Galaxy Note 20 will reportedly sport a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 120Hz display with curved edges. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and is confirmed to come with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The device will feature a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 108MP primary sensor paired with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP 5x periscope lens. The normal Note 20 will see downgraded specs like a 60Hz display, a less impressive S Pen and specced down cameras.
