In India the Super Pink moon can be viewed at 8:05am on April 8. Other parts of the world such as the United States of America, Berlin, Hongkong and other countries have already witnessed the brightest full soon. The biggest and brightest Super Pink Moon of the year 2020 will appear full for about 3 days, from Monday night through Thursday morning.

Did you know that a Super Moon is expected to be almost 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than the average full moon. The Super pink moon is a full moon during the perigee — Moon’s closes approach to the Earth’s orbit. Hence this is why it is called Super Moon. The Super Pink moon will be seen on the evening of April 7. The moon is said to peak at around 10.35PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Due to this, the Super Pink Moon will be viewed the best by the people in India at around 8.05AM on April 8.

In India, the Super Pink Moon will be visible on April 8, 2020, at 8:05 am in the morning. It will appear the brightest and look a lot bigger than usual. Remember to follow social distancing norms while you feast on the Super Moon of April 2020.

Since the upcoming Super Moon or the Perigean Full Moon is happening in the month of April, it is being called as the Super Pink Moon. Although, it’s just a name and does not have anything to do with the colour.
