Instagram recently announced a new 'Reveal' sticker that allows users to post a hidden Story, with Meta saying the only way to see the content is by sending a DM to the account that posted it. In a blog post, Instagram also said they are bringing a bunch of new stickers that let users share things like their favourite song of the day and create custom stickers from photos or videos. Reveal To use the new feature, tap the Stickers icon when creating a new Story and choose the 'Reveal' sticker. Now, you will be prompted to type a hint that will be shown to your followers about what might be behind your blurred story. Once the story is posted, your followers can see your content only if they DM you. However, you won't need to approve every DM for your story to be revealed. While the new Reveal sticker can be helpful to initiate a conversation, it can be really useful for Instagram creators as it might lead to increased engagement. Frames Instagram also added a new Frames feature, a Sticker that lets you turn an image into a virtual Polaroid of sorts. To view it, users will have to shake their phones or press the "Shake to reveal" button. While Stories are usually used to share what you are currently doing, the Frames sticker is more of a throwback to a post. When you add an image to the Frames sticker, it will automatically show the time and the date of the image. Users can also add a caption to the photo. When creating a new Story, tap on the stickers icon and choose the "Frames" sticker. Doing so will open your photo gallery, where you can select an image you want to frame. Once done, you can also add a caption. Add Yours Music The social media platform is also getting a new "Add Yours Music" sticker that enables users to share music that suits their moods. Similar to some existing Stickers, users will also be able to reply to the Add Yours Music sticker by sharing their favourite song. To use it, tap the Stickers icon and choose the "Add Yours Music" sticker. Now, tap on the "Add Music" button and select your favourite song from the Instagram music library. Cutout The Meta-owned social media platform also introduced a Cutouts sticker which helps users turn a part of a photo or video into a custom sticker that can be added to a Story or Reel. Similar to Apple and Samsung's cutout tools, users can extract an object from a photo or video using their fingers. When you use the Cutout sticker, it will open your photo and video gallery where you need to select a photo or a video with a clear subject. Doing so will automatically generate a new sticker. However, you can always manually select the object you want to use as a sticker. To use it, simply tap the "Use sticker" button and add it to your Story or Reel.
