Now share photos, videos from Dropbox on Facebook Messenger

Dropbox has announced a new feature, making it easier for users to share photos and videos through Facebook Messenger.

Facebook Messenger has announced a new feature where by users can photos and video files saved on their Dropbox account directly via the messaging app. Users can now share media files saved in their Dropbox account, without leaving the Messenger app using the More button.

Dropbox, in a blogpost said, “Today, we’re launching a new feature that makes it easier to share photos, videos, and other files in Facebook Messenger.” Facebook has added the More button in Messenger for both Android and iOS, that lets users share photos and videos without leaving the app. Users need to have the Dropbox app installed in their smartphones to use the new feature.

“For everything else, tapping Open will bring recipients to the Dropbox mobile app, where they can preview and save files,” Dropbox explains.

Stan Chudnovsky, head of product for Messenger, in a blogpost said “We want people to communicate just the way they want to on Messenger, with everyone they care about.” “Giving our users the ability to share their Dropbox videos and images in Messenger threads with just a few taps will help them bring more style and personality to those conversations,” he added.
